Rules

America's Little Miss looks for girls with sparkling personalities. No pageant experience is necessary!

LIGHT makeup and a LIGHT "sun-kissed" tan is allowed so that girls are not washed out by stage lights; however, these should be age appropriate and only enhance the child's beauty. Hair extensions are allowed but not to be overdone. Fake teeth (flippers) and anything else that ages the contestant is unacceptable. This is not a glitz pageant and everything should be age appropriate.

The state and national titles are non-contract-binding, but you must return to the pageant next year to crown your successor. You are not allowed to compete in another pageant that would require you to give up your state or national title; however, you may compete in other pageants as long as they allow you to keep your title.

Please respect the pageant deadlines and schedule. We invite you to communicate all timeline or schedule concerns throughout the application and pageant process.  Contestants who do not meet the deadlines or who do not arrive on time to activities may be penalized in scoring and/or removed from the competition with no refund.

An experienced hair and makeup crew will be offered to you during pageant weekend and are the ONLY hair and makeup artists provided backstage access. At no time should anyone other than the contestant and the one female chaperone be backstage.

The backstage chaperone should accompany the contestant during check-in and rehearsals. Contestants ages 6-15 will be seated separately from parents and will be spoken to directly by pageant staff. Chaperones for contestants ages 0-5 should remain with their children at all times, which includes backstage access. It is important that chaperones for these ages understand walking patterns and order of performance, as you will be involved in the show for these ages.

Chaperones should refrain from coaching or giving feedback to children during rehearsals.

*** Backstage Chaperones may not be pageant coaches that are paid for their services.***

*** No coaching is to be done during any rehearsal or competition. ***

Following the pageant, winners should remain on stage for photographs until dismissed. Only the backstage chaperones of the winners should accompany them on stage. Other guests, parents, photographers, visiting queens are not allowed on stage.

At no time are scores provided to winners or contestants; however, judge feedback is available by email request and will be sent approximately 3-5 weeks after the pageant.

The organization strictly enforces positive attitudes and teamwork among contestants, guests, parents, titleholders, and staff. We find that oftentimes, the contestant will take on the attitude of her parents or chaperones, so please rest, relax, and enjoy the experience as much as your child. We guarantee you an event that is 100% honest and organized and are happy to discuss your concerns one-on-one. Please refrain from posting questions to the event page or fan page or messaging the director via social media. Email is the preferred method of contact when preparing for this program.

Judge names and bios are released in the weeks prior to the pageant. Judges are carefully selected to represent an experienced, fair and diverse opinion. Any prior relationships between judges and contestants or their families should be communicated immediately so that judging assignments may be adjusted if necessary. All judges sign a contract to score fairly and accurately based on the contestant's on-stage performance during pageant weekend, and not reflective of any previous performances or experiences.

All fees and tickets sales are 100% non-refundable and non-transferrable.

City, county and state sashes and crowns are provided and must be maintained at the expense of the title holder. Lost, broken or dirty sashes and crowns must be replaced at the expense of the title holder. Sashes and crowns will be worn during the state pageant.

Obtaining sponsorship is encouraged. If contestant sponsorship is acquired, you may email up to 5 individual or business names that will be noted by the contestant's name on the official website. Sponsorship should be independently recruited and monies collected. If desired, contestant sponsors must purchase their own program ads and/or show tickets.

If a business is interested in becoming a state or national sponsor, please contact us at midatlanticalm@gmail.com

For the protection of the contestants, the organization reserves the right to bar entrance to any person at any time or ask that a person exit the venue with no refund. Uniformed security will be on site during all public events.
